All these time, we have been saying that content is still king. Content is essential to have your visitors interested in your site.
You also need content because it is what search engines like. After all, majority of people who use Google do so to find the information they need, not really to buy. And for search engines to remain relevant to people, they need to return good content to people who use their service.
Although we spent a great deal of time dealing with SEO, there is a much more important thing to consider:
Write for your visitors, not for the search engines. Even if you get ranked highly because of your SEO techniques, you will never get a visitor to stay if your site doesn't offer anything meaningful.
But the big question is:
|
|
|
How do you find and develop good, relevant and original content?
This is a major problem for aspiring webmasters. Yes, I'd like to have a site, but what do I put in my site?
Here are the most common concerns:
1. I don't know how to write.
2. I have no idea what to write.
3. I know how to write but I do not have the time.
The best approach to having original and relevant content is of course, to write it yourself. Unfortunately, for the reasons stated above, writing a site on your own requires a great deal of time and effort. I should know, I wrote this site myself and it took me a few months before I had something I felt was worthy enough to be uploaded.

Bear in mind, however, that it is only in the beginning when you really need to work extra hard. Once your site is up, you just need to continually update it: adding a few pages as often as you can.
However, for those who do not wish to take this path, and would just want to concentrate on marketing your site, there are some alternatives that you can take.

Update your site regularly
No matter which method you choose to build your content, 1 thing is a must: Always update your content.
1. Obvious reason: Your visitors will come back to your site if they can see something new when they visit.
2. The more you update your site, the more frequent your site will be crawled. Your content will also be ranked higher because it comes from an active site.
